I have been so blessed by the Extravagant Love series! I have never seen such a beautiful, clear, true, and loving picture of God before! I have known some of His character intellectually but it has not always connected with the heart. I am still unlearning false pictures of God and incorporating those Bible based pictures that we some how have been blinded to-even when being taught how to be a Christian and what it means to be a Christian. Herb, thank you thank you for starting me on a journey to see and know God in a deeper way then I have thus far! God led my wife and I to your ministry through an unexpected path. We were deeply discouraged by apparent mistreatment at our church and nearly left the church entirely. Then we accepted an invitation and were introduced to your beautiful messages about the character of God. We listened to the entire extravagant Love series in a little over a week. And the only way I can express it is that the scales fell from my eyes!
I had been delivered, but only after hearing your picture of God did I realize that the root cause of my lifelong struggles was really that I had bought into the lies that Satan told me about God. Hearing your messages on why bad things happen, Charizomai, the unquenchable fire of God's love, and the truth about what happened at the cross have led to such a deep healing in our lives!
It's so true what you say that when we see God clearly, we will think, believe, feel and ultimately behave differently! This is so backwards from what is commonly taught, but it is the only scriptural way that God transforms lives.

“We had been to _____, summer of 2007, and just returned home. Our first Sabbath back at church, _____ shared with his Sabbath School class the excitement and renewed zeal we felt through Herb Montgomery's message. In that class, _____ and _____ were attentive to every word. After church, _____ talked to _____ more about Herb, and he gave her the website.
_____ and _____ went home and began listening to Herb's sermons online. They listened to all of them. They drank it in. They were so hungry for God's love! _____'s heart was crying out to know that God loved her as she is, and He sent Herb's message to her that day in SS class.
They went to Portland, OR to Herb's seminar and continued to drink in the message. _____ shares that website with everyone.
